The patient carries Blue Cross Insurance. She was brought to the emergency department by her son after he found her lying unconscious and was administered to the hospital on January sixteenth due to a septic shock that is caused by Escherichia coli. She was then transferred to the Med Surge unit around two weeks ago after being medically stable. She is medically stable and stable. The current medical problems are diabetes mellitus that is managed with insulin shots. She also has urinary retention and kidney dysfunction. The patient was admitted to the emergency department unconscious, hyperthermia, tachycardia, tachypnea, and low blood pressure. After running some tests, the patient was diagnosed with septic shock caused by Escherichia coli. Escherichia coli is a harmless bacteria that lives in the GI and can be found in some animals. Some of the signs and symptoms of E. coli include bleeding, confusion, fever, and kidney failure. The patient also has kidney dysfunction and urinary retention that led to the Escherichia coli septic shock.
