Both books were similar and different in many different and interesting ways and have become great literature. One thing that both essays share is the basic setting in the stories and the situations the characters are in. The other thing that share is the plot of the story, like how time winds down. The thing that you can wee one of the biggest similarities in the two stories are with the characters. The two stories are similar in the settings and the plot, but the difference they have is in the characters. The setting shows the isolation in the both stories and how they are trapped in their own ways. In “The Most Dangerous Game” Rainsford is isolated on the island with Zarroff, and he feels trapped. Whitney replied “The old charts call it Ship-Trap Island” (Cornell 211). By its name it sounds like no one is getting off anytime soon. In “High Noon” the setting is in the middle of nowhere in the Midwest. “Railroad track. The parallel lines of the track merge in the hazy distance” (Foreman 310). In Riansford’s position he had to survive 3 days from the general to win the game and he struggled because the general had lots of advantages to kill him, like with his hounds or gun, and Rainsford was trying to escape. “Three days hence we can discuss it over a bottle of Venue Clique” (Cornell 11). In the movie, Kane is looking for anyone willing to fight Frank Miller with, because he will battle to the death.
