If we could turn the clock a couple of years back, I would say I would not know what my future holds. I’m really proud to say that 10 years from now I will be a successful level two Neonatal nurse. A Neonatal nurse is a nurse that works with premature babies and babies who need special care. Even though I’m only eighteen years young, I know for sure in ten years I will have already graduated from Albany State University, successfully completed 3 years of clinical work in a hospital setting, and be certified as a Neonatal nurse. In ten years I will be a graduate from the unsinkable Albany State University. Currently I’m a freshman at Albany State University. As of now I’m on track to graduate in the Spring of 2021 with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I know the challenges I will face before reaching graduation, but that will not stop me from chasing my destiny. The more I think about it, the more I realize that ten years from now I’m going to look back and realize it was all worth it in the end. As of 2021, with 4 years under my belt at Albany State University, clinical work will come right after. In order to be on track for my profession, clinical experience in a hospital setting is an absolute must! It will take me up to 3 more years to become a Neonatal nurse. The steps I will need to take is to first become a registered nurse and then become certified in Neonatal nursing with 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital. I will do whatever it takes for me to get where I need to go because without the clinical experience that’s needed from me, I can not become that nurse I was destined to be.
