Job description Registered nursing is a job for the people who care and feel the need to take care of others. Otherwise known as RNs, registered nurses obtain a plentiful amount of job duties and tasks. Becoming an RN is just the start of the job, with the possibilities of many other subdivisions branching off of it. RNs have different tasks from small procedures, like giving injections, to writing down patient information. Many day to day tasks include evaluating and recording patient symptoms, helping doctors during exams/surgeries, dressing wounds/incisions, teaching patients about self-care/healthy habits, lab work, reviewing patient treatment plans/measure progress, and acting as supervisor to some nurses. Continuing, the different types of nurses that are there after becoming an RN is plentiful. Some like, surgical nurses, have the job to assist the doctor in surgery or be the scrub nurse to get more supplies during surgery if needed. Another, a clinical nurse, is a nurse that would greet you in the clinic. They would help with your paperwork and give shots. There are many different types of nurses that do many different duties, the difficult part is to find the best one for yourself.

Being caring is one of the main attributes that I have, like helping family members when sick, or listening to others and their problems. Another characteristic that nurses are known for are being organized. Organization is a strong quality needed for any job, and is one that I am superb at. Another value of nursing needed is to be a leader. When nursing you need to have others listen to you, which will make you confident and will boost job performance.
