Have you ever wondered what it would be like to just sit outside and listen to the animals? No one around just you are the outdoors. Bow Hunting is a great way to spend time alone and enjoy nature. Bowhunting is a very unique way of hunting, but also a tougher way of hunting.
In order to bowhunt you will need special equipment. The first and most important thing you will need is a bow. There is a very large variety of brands and models. The best way to find the right one is to shoot them all. If you plan on harvesting an animal you will need arrows for your bow. Easton Axis’s are the best arrows, but there are a variety of other arrow types and sizes. The size of arrow depends on your draw length and weight. Hunters also take an advantage in the field when they have other equipment such as a range finder. A range finder calculates how far you are from the animal to set your sight to the right yardage. Blinds give the hunter cover from the wind which a lot of hunters like. They can even be heated to feel more comfortable when hunters are out there in the middle of winter in that big snowstorm. Blinds can either be on the ground or elevated up in the air. A tree stand is a wise choice when hunting in a woodland area. If hunters can find a good sized tree then they can hang a tree stand. A tree stand can be carried and doesn’t weigh a whole lot unlike blinds which are in big and heavy. Tree stands usually don’t have wind cover in them which is their only downfall but just remember to wear warm clothes for the occasion. Now for the hardcore hunters stalking is the way to go. Hunters who choose to stalk shouldn't ever get cold because they are always moving.
