In our society today, we are close to being like Brave New World. With personal relationships, it is always when you get tired of one person you move on to the next. Or if you show emotion, you come off as too strong. The Society also is keeping students and young people from excelling in education, the requirements have dropped over the years. When it comes to being creative. In personal relationships today in society, it’s always be with someone until the fun ends and then move on. In schools today the people who are well known are the ones who have “dated” everyone. In Brave New World if you were with one person for too long, it was frowned on. Today if you are with someone for a long time you’re seen as someone who won’t let yourself have any fun. In Brave New World If they were to show emotion it was seen as a weird thought process. Students no longer need high, good grades to graduate. They just need the basic credits to move on. In Brave New World they only learn what they are taught when they are little, they cannot change and learn more. We see this when Linda was unable to adapt in the camp, she couldn’t cook or sew even though the other women showed her how to. In schools today they only teach us what they think we need to know. When it comes to being creative I think the school limits us, they don’t want us to learn what we want to because it’s for college. Our world today is close to Brave New World in more than one way. With dating and relationships with others, they are kept at a distance yet more intimate then they should be. Feelings are seen as weird and attachment is unwanted.
