America`s been changing since consumerism started to now. There are three kinds of changes that happened in America: Social, Political and Economic. Every change in America was made of the people or the government or maybe both. Changes were either positive or negative, depending where the ending led them. For example, Reaganomics was a good idea for people to get money by getting them from big business, but big business only kept to themselves or give employers a little. This led the poor to get nothing. Reaganomics were a good idea at first but a negative change since it didn't benefit anyone besides big business that already have money.

One social change that happened to America is equality has changed America because, in a political cartoon, I see a woman getting ready to go out to vote while the man is taking care of the children. This shows me that woman also has the right to vote, get some freedom and make a change, unlike the days when women had to stay home to do the chores while men get to go out and do what they want to do. This also tells me sometimes women do need to step up from men and do what they want to do. Another social change is automobiles like Ford getting to the top of the market. In the excerpt , of the New Deal speech that Franklin D Roosevelt said to the citizens, I read he wanted the community to fight the Great Depression with the help of the government. Roosevelt hated the traditional that another president has done of letting the community solve the problem and isolating the government with the citizen. This shows me that America needs the government to solve hard problems. Another political change is the New Deal programs. In the advertisement, I saw two men having a happy life because they have something to do to earn money, which tells me that even farmers were making a change in one of the New Deal
