I find that the Cosmological Argument is flawed in a couple of ways. For instance it doesn’t really help people believe that God exist especially for those who are nonbelievers. Telling a person that God exist because he is the most powerful being therefore he has to exist, is rubbish. On account of the fact that many skeptics will not believe in something that they have never seen by just saying the previous statement. As well as for those who believe in scientific evidence, like Evolution or The Big Bang Theory. These people either have evidence that leave them content in what they believe in, or they are waiting for evidence. It’s just not enough to just say God exist because of a book or on account that he’s the most “superior” being.
The argument also doesn’t really account to just one certain God. Who’s to say that there isn’t multiple Gods or Goddesses, if there really is a God. I’m mainly saying this because the argument doesn’t rule out the possibility of polytheism. There could be many Gods or Goddesses that this argument could apply to however it is only set on what God the argument thinks is the only true God out there. If I were to believe in a God I’d want them to be someone who holds the power of wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth, basically the definition of a God. Yet we don’t even know who God really is or what he even looks like. People don’t want a mindless and senseless rock for a God because what good would a rock benefit the world. Though in theory a rock could very well be the God that we all believe and pray to and we wouldn’t even know it. I’m just not comfortable with not knowing if god is a being or object who doesn’t have feelings or isn’t superior as we all think God
