The Transition Phase to Digital Media....

Gone are the days when people used newspapers, letters, paper files, etc vibrantly as a media tool. Going back to the yester years, say, 30–50 years, we would find the following modes of communication and distribution of content typical:

Handwritten notes/letters,Typewritten business correspondence, using manual typewriters, Paper files (e.g., card catalogs),Books, newspapers, and magazines produced using offset lithography,Printed mail sent through the postal service, Still photographs and moving pictures captured using film photography, Music recordings on vinyl or magnetic tape, Rotary dial, landline telephones, etc.

But now we have transcended into a new era of digital media and have transformed our lives in a better way. Digitalisation has been the hall mark of 21st century which is being widely used in all businesses, governments, institutions, marketing, Medicine,science, sports, music and film

Digital Manufacturing is one of the core strategies of developed nations. Not to forget , developing nations are thriving on digital media to upgrade themselves to the next level globally. The tools of future engineering and management are turning digital.

No doubt, the future is looking bright for sales in Digital media. Businesses are encashing on the growing market which is more allured to all sorts of digital sets that support digital media , be it mobile phones, PCs, laptops, tablets, fablets, memory cards, projectors, printers, television, and other gadgets and gizmos.

In the past few years, Technology has evolved in such a way that there is no longer an acceptable periphery in today’s digital market. We can claim that sky is the limit for it with ever expanding boundaries. Not to forget, Man has used digital media in reaching and exploring space, therby crossing the skies and the planet.
