Distracted driving is a widespread issue. Some examples of distracted driving are texting, being under the influence, talking on a cell phone, changing the radio station, eating, applying makeup, and even being tired are all considered forms of distracted driving. Most every state has laws against these forms of distracted driving. Penalties range from tickets, losing your license, or in some cases jail time. All of these distractions are dangerous enough a fatal accident.

As I get closer to being a driver myself, I realize that it is very important to always be paying attention to the road. Accidents can happen in the blink of an eye without any of these distractions. Most accidents involving teenagers has one of these distractions as the …show more content…
Some distractions are more serious under the eyes of the law than others. For instance, drinking and driving is one of the worst things you can do. However, texting and driving is one the most common and can be just as deadly. If you added up all of the possible distractions you can experience while driving, it's amazing that there aren't more distractions then there already are.

Some of the ways we can change our behaviors while driving are, turning cell phones off, setting the radio on the channel you want before driving, pulling over to send a text or make a phone call, waking up early enough to apply makeup before you buckle up, and getting enough sleep before driving or pulling over if you become too tired. There are a variety of safe driving courses that you can take that will help teach you safe driving tips. The laws of the road as well as common sense can help save thousands of lives each and every year. I feel that this is a pro-life point of view.

In summary, even though distracted driving is extremely dangerous, we can all do our parts to make the roads safer for everyone. In the USA, you may quickly decide that this is a very important issue to take seriously. If everybody take responsibility for their own actions, the futures of so many will be changed for the better. Not only is distracted driving illegal, but i feel that is also
