Imagine schools that have every student looking the same. This is what would happen if schools had dress codes.Conflicts spread about dress codes around the United States. The main issue is that students can't be themselves, also they cost money and some families don't have the money to buy them and wash them almost every day.Schools should not adopt dress codes because it takes away personality and cost money students can't be themselves, also they cost money and some families don't have the money to buy them and wash them almost every day.
Having dress codes at school maybe helps keep students kneet and teachers able to focus on teaching than telling students that there clothes are not appropriate for school. But is that really worth taking

These uniforms usually cost around one hundred and forty dollars for boys and one hundred and fifty dollars for girls. Thats a lot of money if the parents don't have a good job or they don't have a second spouse. According to Cengage Learning, “Uniforms prevent parents from shopping at resale shops and sending their children to school in clothing handed down from friends and relatives. Some parents also argue that uniforms should not be mandated in public schools, which are supposed to be free”. State funded schools should not have dress codes because everything is supposed to be free. If parents are spending over one hundred dollars for a uniform that restricts their child from expressing their true self at school. They have to dress like something their not, and that is not right. Although dress codes have their cons they also have their pros. With uniforms comes organization and discipline.
Having dress codes may have a good effect on teachers. The dress code allows teacher to focus on teaching, instead of focusing on what students are wearing and what they need to change to be appropriate for school. Although this may seem true it's not because, students should have the freedom to wear what they want that is appropriate for school. Teenagers need to have these responsibilities of choosing the right things to wear so that once they do get into the real world they know what is acceptable and what's not.
