In life there are strong and weak relationships between people. Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is about two men named George and Lennie who has a dream. Lennie has mental illness so it’s up to to George to watch over him and to make sure he doesn’t mess up anything at their job that keeps them from achieving that dream.In the novel we learn the relationship that keeps George and Lennie together, the difficulties they each have, and how their relationship affect others. George and Lennie have a relationship that keeps them together. “An’ live off the fatta the lan’,”. Lennie shouted. “ An’ have rabbits. Go on, George! Most workers travels alone but, they don’t. They have a closer relationship than the other ranchers and don’t have nobody to care for them. They have a future and got someone to talk to. They got each other to care for and that they also have a goal to live off the fatta of the lan’. They have a purpose in life. As the novel shows George and Lennie have a relationship that is strong but, within their relationship are difficulties that affect the people around them.George and Lennie relationship is a brotherly relationship that keeps them close.
