In the United States mass shootings have unfortunately become a worrisome trend, that only seems to be on the rise. There have been shootings in public places that we see on the news,that gives us the interpretation that they are becoming just the normal. Schools, shopping centers, and movie theaters are just some of the areas that have felt the effect of these gun violence's from mass shooters. Mass shootings are a concern because our families and communities futures are at risk, and the cowardly act of killing of thousands of innocent civilians has no reason to occur These shootings for the most part are nothing new, except they seem to be occurring more often in the 21st century. The idea of innocent people being shot and killed for no reason is enough for people to want to do something about it. A “mass shooting” is defined as when 3 or more people have been killed. The problem here is that it seems there are not enough people willing to take a stand against it. There are laws in place to protect people but they get broken so quickly enough it is difficult to find another solution before another mass shooting takes place. Some Schools and other public places have problems with funding when trying to increase security measures. Local fundraisers could help raise money to pay for higher security, for the protection of our children in Texas Schools. Buying a firearm should be a long and extensive process that includes, deep background checks, proving that you are worthy, mentally stable and you have a reasonable need to own a gun. Making gun owners undergo mandatory training, will teach them safe ways to handle, locking up their gun, loading and unloading storing bullets in a safe
