What makes a person admirable? In the book “To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee there’s a character whose name is Mrs. Dubose. Mrs. Dubose is a very old woman who lived two doors up the street from Jem and Scout. Jem and Scout would frequently pass her house to go to town. When they passed they would always receive mean comments about where they were going, them as a person, and their father. Mrs. Dubose was sick and had a morphine addiction, and in the end, she ended up dying. Overall Mrs. Dubose was not an admirable person because of how unkind she was. These quotes clearly show that Mrs. Dubose is just not nice and almost like a bully as she is assuming Scout will be a waitress because of her outfit and that their father is no better than trash because he is defending Tom Robinson which definitely makes her not an admirable
