I believe I am a conformer, I follow many social trends buy trending clothing on an extremely unhealthy level, and I care what people think about me. I wake up in the morning, I could go to school in some pj’s but then I would look like an idiot and I would be ashamed; if I were to go to school in my pj’s I would be following a trend that I originally saw at this school with a few people. Trying to be different from other people is trying to be a non conformer, you can’t be a non conformer everyone is following conformity in some way. To be a non conformer you would have to create your own clothing brand, invent new electronics, or anything of that sort, so when you consider yourself a nonconformer you better re-think that because you are still following the path of conformity. When they say this I become infuriated with the fact that what they say is completely irrelevant with the subject, or argument we are having; Just say there’s 70% of the population that wears Jordans, there is 20% of the population that wears Sperry’s, then there is the 10% that wears champions. You are still following a trend, because of the fact that someone first created or started the trend. So, just think about that next time you say you aren’t a conformer. Trying to be different from other people is trying to be a non conformer, you can’t be a non conformer everyone is following conformity in some way.
