People in America are getting killed by police almost everyday. Some police shoot people because they think that they’re a threat when they’re not. Most of the people police shoot are, in fact, black. One person was shot sixteen times by a police officer and the police claimed it to be an accident. America, the government, the people, need to put this problem as a major one. People die just because police feel the need to shoot at first glance. Police brutality is a major problem in America for these three reasons, police don’t have a right to kill at random, they are always say it was an accident, and this is mainly a racial thing. The first reason police brutality should be labeled as a major issue is police don’t have a right to kill at random. Police are always assuming something, then pull out their gun and shoot. One time this child got shot by a police, and got killed because the police assumed that the kid was holding a real gun. The gun was a toy gun, so this innocent child died just because the police assumed. It seems like they choose out someone, and just shoot. The police that did this got no charge, they went on as a free man that killed an innocent child. That’s the first reason why people should start doing something about this issue. Their reasons for why it shouldn't be a major problem is, people are human and they make mistakes, citizens kill citizens, and we need to put ourselves in the cop's shoes. These are good reasons why it shouldn’t be a major issue. However, even though people make mistakes, a mistake is not shooting someone 16 times for no good reason. Yeah, citizen kill citizens but the police are here to protect us from that. Instead, they go and kill people themselves. Putting ourselves in the cop’s shoes isn’t really gonna change anything, because some people actually have the sense to stop and check before just
