Introduction:
Imagine being the best athlete and having really good grades, until one day it all just went away. This is exactly what happened to Willie Weaver in the book The Crazy Horse Electric Game by Chris Crutcher. This book is about an extraordinary athlete named Willie Weaver who gets in a boating accident which changes his life forever. Or at least until he moves from Coho, Montana to Oakland, California where he meets a bus driver named Lacie who picks him up off of the street and lets Willie stay with him until he wants to go back home again. Willie attends a special school called OMLC high school and the people there help Willie become who he was before. Willie ends up going back home and it turns out a lot of things have changed

“I know who the hell you are. Get out of here”(Crutcher 279). This quote shows that Big Will lost all of his feelings for Willie and he is blaming Willie for their parents divorce. Will did nothing to solve his problems, he could only blame others for what has happened and he can’t own up to it. This is why his life fell apart and there’s nothing he can do about it now because he has a terrible mindset. This is the reason why one of the themes can also be, one wrong decision can change your whole future.

The two themes that were being discussed were enjoy the little things in life because you never know when they’ll disappear, and one wrong decision can change your whole future.
