Although this is any mans dream to have a submissive woman Ayn Rand shows that Equality 7-2521 changes his attraction towards women throughout her book Anthem. Ayn Rand shows many different roles in the book Anthem. Set in the future, Anthem is a fictional dystopian novel where they don’t believe in being a individual. The main character ,Equality, finds out more and more about being a individual. During his whole experience he finds the love of his life “The golden one” The golden one and equality’s relationship changes a lot over the span of the whole book. In the beginning of the book when they first see each other they make Equality seem like he will follow her command no matter what. The golden one is, the more she falls in love with equality, the more submissive and loyal she becomes. But with Equality it's a different story. The more love that The Golden One gives him the more he acts like he is a god. “We looked into their eyes and we could not lie”(Rand 56) Equality wanted to lie to her but he is to in love with her to lie to her no matter how hard he tries.Equality, even though is treated like a god my liberty, he still can never lie to he because he is to in love with her.
