The Real Count Dracula
Although Hollywood has poisoned our minds with false facts, myths, and stereotypes about Count Dracula, he was indeed a real person. He might not look or act like what Hollywood has pictured him to be. If anything, Dracula breathed, ate, slept, and felt everything that any normal human being did. But who is this mysterious creature, why is he so special, and how did he get known as a crazy, blood loving freak?
He is no other than ‘Prince Vlad The 3rd of Wallachia’ or as he is commonly known as ‘Vlad the Impaler.’ Vlad the Impaler was in 1431 in Transylvania, Sighisoara, so Hollywood wasn't completely lying to us. Vlad wasn’t someone you wanted to mess with, back then cruel punishments were okay meaning Vlad could do whatever he wanted if anyone got in his way and he has. According to a New World Encyclopedia article, “Vlad the Impaler is known for the exceedingly cruel punishments he imposed during his reign,” (Vlad the 3rd the Impaler). So he is as deadly as people make him out to be.
