In situations where a little decision could make a big difference, whether for the better or worse, it comes down to choice. When there is a choice between doing something that is right or doing something that is wrong, the choice that is wrong is generally easier. People could base their decisions on if it is best for them rather than thinking of another person. My decisions can become me and affect my values, my integrity. I could choose the option that is better for me, but harms another, or I could choose the option that can, perhaps, hinder me and prove more helpful to another, while helping me remain true to myself and my values.

A young, single mother struggles daily, scraping to get by. If she were to choose to give the baby up for adoption, she could be giving up a piece of herself, but the baby could have a better life than the life she could give him. Her last decision, abortion, takes away any choice the baby could later have and though she is giving herself a chance to be free, to start over, she still ends a possible life. Her situation could validate the terminating the pregnancy, but it could also validate her giving the baby up for adoption. She could also make another young couple's life better.
Another example is if someone had to take a test, but had not studied for it and was unprepared. He will not pass the class if he is to fail the test, and he cannot have that or he will not get into the college he has been dreaming of since infancy. A friend then comes along with all the answers to the test and attempts to coerce him to cheat. The person, already in a weakened state because of stress and fear of letting people down may agree even though it goes against all he stands for and his morals.
