College athletics has become popular over the years, and people have taken more interest into it then before, with this in mind it raises an important question we’ve all been thinking, if college athletes are putting in as much effort as pro players why aren't they getting paid? Furthermore, it has resulted in an overall increase in revenue for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Therefore, many colleges are being questioned on whether or not college athletes should get paid for their involvement and effort put into the games. I believe that college athletes should pay for all that they do rather than the NCCA.

College athletes do an enormous amount of work that usually goes unnoticed, unlike professional players which get paid for the effort provided. Athletes also help colleges bring in more money to the school. First I will be talking about who feels athletes should be paid or not paid. Everyone should now be able to see why college athletes deserve a share of the money that the daily generate themselves. College athletes need to get rewarded for the effort they put into the sports another overall dedication to the game. Just like other college students they also need to make money and with the 40-60 hour practices a week and the classes they take to maintain their scholarship they are unable to work because there is no time for them to do so. They need some of the necessities other students have. If the athletes are allowed to receive money for their efforts towards their sports, then this will allow them to have money to spend on necessities such as food and clothes, and the rest can also be used to do what they want with
