Imagine this, you are sitting on the couch playing video games and eating chips. Are you learning anything? Is playing video games beneficial to you? Are these games going to help succeed in life? Doing this for months at a time is wasting time when they could be learning useful stuff to help them in life. School should be year round because many people would benefit from it. Going to school year round is going all year and having more longer breaks off during the year. For example, instead of months off from school at time maybe students should have on month off during the summer. Having months off from school is a long time to have students sit and not learn anything that is beneficial for students. If students go to school year-round, it is much more likely that they will retain the information they learn in class, instead of forgetting most of it over the three months of summer vacation. Students get a couple weeks off total during a school year excluding weekends. The idea of going to school for nine weeks at a time and getting three or so weeks off has been circulating all over schools. Having no breaks off during the school year is stressful and unhealthy to the students. Having school year round could mean students could graduate earlier. The beginning of the school year is usually spent reviewing the material that students learned in the previous school year, which results in wasted time for teachers, parents and students. Not having to review the material taught the previous year would mean that they could be learning something new. Students would probably get better grade because they would listen more because they would learning something new and not the same
