In Chapter four of Essential Life Coaching several models of coaching are outlined. Each model is aimed at getting the client “from where they are now (A) to where they want to be (B) (Dunbar, 2009, loc. 859).” I found the GROW (Grow, Reality, Options, and Will) model the most appealing for life coaching. As indicated by the acronym, this model is progressive and moves the coachee from identifying their desired goals, to taking the appropriate steps towards their goal.
