State level judges execute many functions similar to federal judges however, they have more limitations than the federal judiciary system (Siegel, Schmalleger & Worrall 2014). Having the knowledge that some people feel judges are unethical in decisions they make against a defendant will make me think long and hard about the case against Tim DeFoy. Consequently, the decision I make must be an ethical one because if my decision is not ethical it might affect me being re-elected. There are so many things to be considered about the case.
