Freedom of information act 2000, is an act of parliament of the parliament of the united kingdom to which creates a public right of access to information to which is held by the public authorities. It is also an implantation of freedom of information legislation in the United Kingdom of a national level.
For example this is if they need to look at their personal record or even some of their credit card references, and the environmental information regulations to which gives people access to the information about the environments as well as information about themselves, they are not allowed to show others their customers personal details unless they have their consent to otherwise they could be reported and therefore could get into trouble with the law. For example a person is guilty of an offense if they cause a computer to perform any function with intent to secure access to any program or data in which would be held in any computer or to enable any access to being secured. They therefore have to make sure that their files are secured and that their passwords are safe and protected. Encrypted data would mean that unless they have the correct code then it would tend to look like a lot of random lines and letters until you figure out the correct information much needed. There are costs to companies for those who use data protection and computer misuse is that it therefore costs for them to have the correct software to keep their information safe.
