Areas within the organization that will be affected by health policy on disparities will experience poor quality patient-provider interactions due to their limited knowledge of the language by the patient, Diversity in the healthcare workforce will also be impacted. Emergency rooms will be crowded due to the lack of insurance. According to the American College of Emergency Physicians, “The federal government estimates approximately 49 million Americans are uninsured in the United States. 9.4 percent (7 million) of those are under the age of 18” (http://newsroom.acep.org)
