Throughout the journey that a character must undergo during a story, the character must learn to use good and important traits in order to be successful. The stories “Through the Tunnel” By Doris Lessing, “A Worn Path” by Eudora Welty, “My Kinsman, Major Molineaux” by Nathanial Hawthorne express the use of persistence best. Many traits could be helpful to different characters depending on the personality of said character. An important trait for most characters would have to be persistence, because this trait is something that one must have in order to continue to push through the hard times in the journey of life.
