I thought I would never smile again. However, nothing makes me smile as much as my grandson, Cedric. He is a handful, and never stops. He flips, turns, jumps, play ball, and tackle all day long. His energy level is high and he can go on and on. He is a five year old energetic live wire. When we are together he uses me a riding horse and constantly wanting to throw a ball, hit a ball, or slip and slide, roll, flip, run, and jump. From the day he was born, he was alert and his little eyes followed the movement in the room. He attended Pre-K at Little Angels, and was put in time- out several times a week for wanting to play and not taking naps as instructed. He loves school and was excited to go to Pre-K and on to Elementary School. He attends Highland Elementary Dual Language School in Cedar Hill. …show more content…
His mother is my only child, and he is her only child. She waited until she had a career, was married, and purchased a home before stating her family. I anticipated the birth of his arrival and was ecstatic when I learned she was expecting a child. After all, she was in her late thirties when he was born. It was a mild, warn, sunny Sunday morning when he was born. When the doctor allowed the family to see him for the very first time his little head that was cover with a blanket was peeking through, as he turned his head following the different voices in the room. His eyes were big, round and bright. They lit up bright as a sparkling new shinny penny. For a new born he was alert and was seem to be looking around as he recognized the hospital room. He made the cutest noise, and smiled a lot. But, on January 27, it all changed. Those eyes were not shiny, nor did it have any
