Euthanasia
Euthanasia refers to the process of taking your own life medically to end pain or suffering. Euthanasia is legal in three countries, Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands. Physician assisted suicides is a form of voluntary euthanasia, it is more controlled as the physician rules out cases of depression that could be clouding the thought pattern. They normally end their life by an overdose of medication or a lethal injection.

Euthanasia in Christianity
Most Christians believe that euthanasia is ethically incorrect and as life is given by god, and should be lived in Gods footprints. Some churches also push that People should not obstruct the natural course of death. (Unknown, 2009) Some people also believe that the process of dying is also spiritually important and should not be tampered with. “Euthanasia is a grave violation of the law of god, since it is the deliberate and morally unacceptable killing of a human person.” (Said pope John Paul the 2nd in 1995.) This means that tampering with the final moments could stop the moving of the soul to God. Euthanasia in Christianity is a topic that is not backed by the religion, they push for life not to be tampered with which could effect the soul moving to God.

Euthanasia in Islam
Most Islamic believe that Euthanasia is bad. This is because Allah gives all life, and he determines how long a person lives for. They also believe that this should not be interfered with. Many devote Muslims believe in not resuscitating a person, this represents a soft form of euthanasia which is strictly prohibited in Islam. Whilst turning off the life support is tolerated accelerating death with the use of certain painkillers is not as it has the same effect as euthanasia. Euthanasia in Islam is a very strong topic, which is clarified in the culture it shows that it is not to be a part of their culture as it directly affect the control Allah has on the people.

Euthanasia in Hinduism
There are many points of view on euthanasia in Hinduism. Many people think that if a doctor accepts a patient’s request for euthanasia this will cause the soul to be separated from the body at an unnatural time. Other Hindus believe that euthanasia cannot be used as it goes against the views of the teachings of ahimsa. Other parties say that if euthanasia is part taken in it will cause good karma on the doctor as it is removing someone from a world of pain and suffering.
