Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities Kenny Dalglish has as manager of Liverpool FC is signing new players every transfer window (1st July – 31st August), recently he bought Andy Carroll (£35m), Jordan Henderson (£20m), Luiz Suarez (£22), Stuart Downing (£19m), Charlie Adam (£8m) and Jose Enrique (£6m). He needs to buy players in these transfer windows to improve the team he is managing and buy players that he feels he can play to his tactics and can help the team achieve glory.
Another responsibility Kenny Dalglish has is selling players, he recently sold Fernando Torres (£50m), Raul Merielies (£13m), David N’gog (£6m) and has loaned out Alberto Aquilani (Milan) and Joe Cole (LOSC Lille). He also has to sell players that are not performing to the standards they should be, and he also loans players out to gain experience in playing first team football and hopefully make the player better.
Another responsibility Kenny Dalglish has is to promote players from the youth squad, players like John Flanagan, Martin Kelly, Jack Robinson, Sebastian Coates (who he bought from Uruguay and is only 20) and Connor Coady.
Another responsibility Kenny Dalglish has is to keep control of his players on and off the field, in training, in their private lives and on the pitch. He has the responsibility of being in training every day and keeping the players in form and fitness up, he also has a place in his players private life, keeping them out of trouble and keeping them in the right frame of mind. Whilst his players are on the pitch he keeps control of them by making them before calm and composed when they start making stupid pointless tackles, getting themselves sent off or booked and maybe injuring themselves. Also he has the responsibility of when his players are injured, making sure they don’t aggravate their injury even more, for example Steven Gerrard has recently had an ankle infection and Kenny Dalglish is making sure his ankle in well protected in a cast.

The main responsibilities Jamie Carragher has is to captain Liverpool FC and to try and guide the team to glory as he did in 2005 in Istanbul, Rome where he guided Liverpool to winning the Champions League.

Another responsibility Jamie Carragher has is to be a charity worker outside his football career where he goes into different hospitals for children and give disabled kids the chance to meet him and the rest of the team. The benefit of this is that he promotes Liverpool FC to children with illnesses and shows that the team is supporting them through the tough time in the children’s lives.

They both have communication as a similarity because Kenny Dalglish shouts to his players on the pitch and in training and Jamie Carragher acts as an on the pitch manager who also tells players who to mark this is good communication as it keeps the team organised and keeps the players mentally focused.
