Evidence-based practice (EBP) is aimed at implementing current clinical knowledge into care decisions to improve the patient care processes and outcomes. Moreover, it is a shared decision between patient and provider that incorporates research and best evidence with clinical expertise, as well as the patient’s values and preferences to make a desired heath outcome (Huber, 2014). Developing and fostering this type of practice can be hindered by the organizational culture of healthcare facilities.
