The third chapter examines several creationist perspectives, including intelligent design, and discusses the scientific and legal reasons against teaching creationist ideas in public school science classes. I would highly suggest you to read chapter three of the book Science, Evolution, and Creationism. This chapter includes interesting information about different points of view about evolution. It also explains the case courts between the religious groups against the scientific point of view. To be clear, evolution was proved by the scientific method but creationism was not. The religious group often say: “no one has seen evolution” .In this case the author refers to the regular emergence of resistant strains of microorganisms which is the evolution in action. I found it interesting that the religious group has no answer for most of the questions! For example if you ask them to explain them …show more content…
The discoveries of evolution has been supported by different fields of science such as biology, physics, chemistry, and even astronomy. Scientist are confident enough about the future progress of evolution as they have been for the past decades. The book has complete explanation of DNA, genes, coding, inheritance, and mutation. Simply, species has evolved for better adaptations of their surroundings and survival. If the organism survives, it will reproduce and pass the genes to the next generation. The mutation may result in a trait that enables the species to take a better advantage of their habitat. It could also be the exact opposite, and cause the lethal death of organisms. Moreover, this chapter includes further information about Natural Selection and the father of evolution Charles Darwin. This chapter also has some interesting facts about the first “wise man” and the fossils that were discovered at
