Satire Essay In today’s society, there are too many gays running around in our holy streets. These people are causing a tremendous amount of problems, and I think we already have enough problems in our daily lives. Gays are almost always seen showing affection in public (due to the recent ruling in favor of gay marriage), and are causing the children of our society to become “confused”. Some serious measures need to be taken to suppress this horrific plague that is spreading across the nation. It was not enough to simply vote against gay marriage, since the sinful beings have almost 10 million followers, so we must take this problem into our own hands. I propose that we turn our nation back to simpler times, back to when the blacks were segregated. The system that was in place during the age of Martin Luther King was easy, because the government had no problem dealing with the people. I feel that this system might work in our society, because most of the homeosexuals are too feminine to even try to fight back. People have tried to make an argument against my proposal by stating that our government is secular. Even though our government is secular, more than 83% of people in the USA identify as Christian, and any good Christian would completely go against these sinful ideas, so it is obvious that this system would work in our democratic government, because we have the majority. Besides, our government can barely even be called secular, since they are so many Christians living here. Another argument that has presented to me is that this segregation only affects gays and not lesbians. This argument is invalid, because women during the time of Martin Luther King were already persecuted, so why do they need more segregation.
