My family has been deeply intertwined with Western New York culture and its economy. All the way back to my great, great grandfather who owned Bliemeister bar and grill on Jefferson Ave near East Ferry Street; and my great grandfather owning both an Ice and coal business and Bliemeister Amusement rides Inc. which he incorporated in 1948. Till my grandfather who after returning from the Korean war started his own businesses Cotton Candy & Sno-Kone Cossession and a packing business called Kwick-send located in East Aurora, NY and my Uncle starting a store called Fortes also a landscaping business name Outdoor Specialties. One could say that it is tradition to partake in the affluent culture of Western NY.

I have spent a lot of my time during my teenage years doing community service. I was a part of my schools Key club which helps the Alden branch of the Kiwanis with many events like toys for tots and chicken dinners to help raise money for families in need. At church I was always an active youth, going on numerous mission trips to help the much in need communities. I have been ones that were both relatively close to home and ones across the States. One particular mission trip was right in Buffalo; volunteering with charities and soup-kitchens to organize and give out food and clothes to people in need. One of the events that was really powerful was when we spent the whole day playing with under privileged kids. The reason it was intensely impactful was for strong sense of trust, respect and enjoyment these kids showed for the time we spent on with them. Unfortunately, I am now too old to be in the youth group but I help in any way I can. During the summer I also teach children how to swim with my towns recreational department. For the semester goes I have a find my time scarcely spread thin between work and school, but I still try to make time for service through my involvement with Habitat for Humanity. I would have to say the most exceptional and widely educational experience of my life was the school year that I was an RA. For this experience allowed me to meet and interact with many individuals on many different levels personal, education, professional and even kind of parental.
