Everyday people are constantly faced with adversity but everyone has a different way of handling it, for example some people will take on adversity headstrong while others take a more negative approach. A Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry is a play about how the Younger family face their versions of adversity. One of the characters who was faced with difficult challenges was Walter Lee Younger. He is Ruth’s husband, Travis’s father, and the oldest of Mama’s two children.
