The short story “The Masque of the Red Death” by Edgar Allan Poe takes place at a castle. Prince Prosper a wealthy person in a place with people dying of a disease called the Plague. Prince Prospero heard about the disease that spread around the castle and Prince Prospero shut the doors of the castle and had a party. Prince Prospero wasn’t worried about the disease he just wanted to have the time of his life and don’t worry about nothing else. In this short story, the hidden message in Poe’s allegory “The Masque of the Red Death” is that we all commit sins like Prince Prosper, but when we ignore them they lead to our downfall.

The wealthy prince did a horrible thing he had a party that was 7 months long and had enough food to serve many people for 7 months. Prince Prospero actions show him being careless. This represents the first stage of ages because it shows the Prince being uncaring and an infant doesn't care about anything but itself like the prince. Also it represents one of the 7 chambers of the Prince’s party. It represents the purple chamber because it represents the wealth and the luxury living. after he had the party everyone died because the disease made itself inside the castle.

The story “The Masque of the Red Death” tells that our sins will always come back to you and bring you to your downfall. For example when you do something bad in this world about someone, people will start to find out and then you will be in trouble so don't commit any sins or else.
