Jane Eyre a young girl in the Victorian era expands the story of a woman moving towards acceptance and love. During her vivid journey Jane interacts many restrictions. She begins her journey at Gateshead Hall a place owned by her close Reed family. Here we begin to see the Enclosure that hunts Jane, which proves to be the biggest obstacle at each stop of Jane's voyage: Gateshead, Lowood Institution, Thornfield and many more. Through the development of the novel, Jane learns how to manage the entrapment she's been through most of her life. Jane's searches continually incorporates different situations of entrapment and escape in order to gain love without giving up. The first form of entrapment and escape is shown by Jane’s experience in the red room of the Gateshead mansion, Jane’s position of banishment becomes clear in the first couple chapters. From her start at Gateshead Hall it was very complicated for Jane Eyre to overcome these fearless situations. After a couple of months in Gateshead things began to get complicated and she moved on to the Lowood institution, a school for young orphaned girls. In Lowood Jane deals with a mean,unpleasant, horrible man Mr. Brocklehurst, who runs the institution. The encounters between Jane and Brocklehurst were unpleasant because he would always attempt to trigger Jane's feelings by humiliating her. In Thornfield Jane experienced many entrapped situations, not only with Mr. Rochester but with herself as well. Sometimes she would speak to herself and reminisce about her long struggles throughout her journey. Jane did not end her voyage in Thornfield, in fact she expanded her quest by leaving these entrapped places were she searched for love, acceptance and freedom.
