movie Legally Blonde, displays the struggle of a sorority girl named Elle Woods. She had it all until her boyfriend Warner dumped her because he got accepted into an Ivy League law school. Elle knew the only way to win him back was to become the girl he wanted; who was someone serious. So she decided to get a law degree. However when she was accepted into Harvard she found out Warner was engaged to another women named Vivian, who was seen as serious and snobby. Elle then began to compete with Vivian in order to win Warner back. In the process of trying to get Warner back she started to take law school serious in order to prove everyone wrong. She then became an intern who ended up solving a big time murder case. Through it all Elle found herself worth and became someone. The lead character Elle Woods is seen throughout the movie illustrating sexuality; which for females is considered to be a norm. Society teaches us that women are just based on the way they look and nothing more. In the movie Elle was accepted to Harvard Law School because she sent a video application of herself in a two piece bathing suit. The admission committee was composed of males, so of course they accepted her because they where seduced by her sex appeal. Another example is when Elle teaches a maneuver called the, “bend and snap” to an entire salon so they can capture a man's attention easily. This maneuver consists of a male to look at a female’s entire body while bending down. Then the snap draws attention to the female’s breast.
