To begin, the transcendent hero’s personal corrupt morals of wanting more than needed is his blindness which leads him to cross the threshold, especially through greed, ignorance, and lust. For instance, Harker on his journey to reach Dracula castle, Harker stays at the Golden Krone Hotel, the landlady of the hotel begs Harker not to go to Dracula castle and that Dracula is a dangerous man. Harker’s Blindness and ignorance is evident when he does not give importance to such odd behavior by the town people. Also, Harker ignores the town people instead of search for the reason and ask the town people for the reason to their odd behavior towards him. Therefore, Harker’s blindness is evident in his ignorance which is Harker’s flaw forcing Harker to cross the threshold.
