If a heroism means to sacrifice a person’s life [your] to save and help people, then Odysseus do his part of being a hero to save his men from the danger, but consider a hero for a long time. In the book ,The Odyssey, written by Homer in 1200 B.C.E. The Odyssey had been a popular piece of literature in the western culture because it demonstrates the definition of a hero. The most important aspects of being a hero exemplify loyalty and honesty to all people. These traits demonstrate a hero because a hero should be trusted and help other people as well. Odysseus is not a hero due to his selfishness and asking God for help in a difficult situation. Odysseus is a selfish man because he is unfaithful toward his wife and dishonest toward his men.
