Influence tactic is the process of having influence over others' attitudes and behaviors. There are three influence tactics that are most effective for team leaders: rational persuasion, inspirational appeals, and consultation. Rational persuasion is when a person presents all the facts and evidence needed to persuade someone of the positive benefits of a course of action. A good example of rational persuasion is a doctor.
