The isolationism of the United States has often times left citizens naive and uninformed. In Ronald Reagan’s speech he shows great support for domestic and foreign policies through the representation of the United States and what it stands for. Reagan uses religion and peace in his speech to support his domestic and foreign policy. During the late twentieth century the United States foreign policy was to keep communism contained and not let it spread. According to Reagan communism is a sin and the USSR is an evil empire (373). Through the eyes of many other countries, America is viewed as being very religious when compared to other nations. Most of America’s amendment’s are solely based on the Ten Commandments that are presented in the BIble.
