Experience, the word that everyone aims to have in just about anything they do, experience comes with time and hard work and you must earn your right to be able to state that you’re “experienced” though you can have experience for many things; experience in relationships is one of the most used types of experience that one may use sometime in their life. Before the first chapter in the book The Crucible Elizabeth already knows about the past affair that her husband and Abigail had. In the book it is clear that Elizabeth is hurt by the past affair of her husband and Abigail Williams, She is always bringing it up to John and doubting him when he leaves the house. In act Four John and Elizabeth are in a jail cell in the Salem jail, And Elizabeth tells John that she wants him living. And John states “I cannot mount the gibbet like a saint. It is a fraud. I am not that man, my honesty is broke, Nothing is spoiled by giving them this lie that were not rotten long before.” And Elizabeth says that before she can forgive him, he must forgive his self, she will not forgive him because she says she has read her heart in the past three months, she says she has her own sins to count and it would take a cold women to promote lechery. And Elizabeth tells John to take her sins with him while he is executed, and she tells John that she did not know how to tell John the love she had for him, she kept a cold house by holding it
