The industrialization changed America between 1870 and 1910 for good and bad. It was good because in the late 1800s, Industrial Revolution reduced the struggle with the resources that were provided which consisted of: using capital, technology and management to expand the production of the goods. As it brought huge change in the industry because before Industrial Revolution people used to do physical labor instead of machinery work. Referring on to page 2, from the data that’s displayed on the chart, it exhibits that from 1870 to 1910 the Gross National Product (GNP) changed immensely from $531 in 1870 to $1299 in 1910. In addition, it brought huge difference within the employment of children under the age of 15 because it brought drastic change from 0.7 in 1870 to 1.63 in 1910. According to ASIA-PACIFIC Economic Blog, it was bad because “industrialization comes with pollution. Factories, automobiles and aircrafts produces unthinkable air pollution to some advanced cities in the world. Chemicals and wastes that were not properly disposed causes water and land pollution” (1). This demonstrates that Industrial Revolution caused pollution in factories and made environment conditions worse. In addition to that, Industrialization introduced people to new technology, which brought more machines to factories and instead of human labor machines took place and it caused high unemployment rate for people who lacked skills. This was one of the biggest negative impact of industrial revolution because most of the people were not educated prior to industrialization.
