Baseball is Unrivaled Waiting in between plays fiddling with my glove and standing under the scorching sun playing the best game in the world, baseball. To most people baseball is boring and the only reason they watch it or play it is to fit in, not to me. Baseball is the most exciting game in the world from the full counts to the seemingly impossible diving stops, every little bit excites me whether I’m playing or watching. Baseball brings me such a thrill. I was first introduced to baseball when I was a little baby not even walking yet. My mom would dress me in my Yankees onesie, give me my Yankees pacifier, and fill my Yankees bottle while the Yankees were playing on the T.V. during the rare occasion the game was televised on the West Coast. I was engulfed in pure happiness laying there staring blankly at the screen. That is when I fell in love with America’s pastime. Unfortunately, I could not play it because I lacked the necessary motor skills at only a few months old. I Started playing when I was five years old. I was only twelve years old and I was on the Giants, we were playing the Brewers one of the worst teams in the league. My friend was pitching for the Brewers that game and I was excited to face him. During my at-bat I could tell he was pitching around me, not giving me a pitch to hit. He, however, made a crucial mistake and threw me a high fastball, my eyes got wide and I took a swing. I connected perfectly, sweet spot to the ball, the ball sailed into the top part of the bushes for my first career home run.
