Why do you think Michael B. fell through the cloud?

In my opinion, I think Michael B. fell through the cloud for many reasons. One reason Michael B. fell through the cloud is because he was still not used to riding clouds. I know that because in the text, it said: “Michael B. agreed, nodding, but he did not loosen his grip on Ona.” (Baum 7) That means that Michael B. is not used to riding clouds because if he was used to clouds, then he would not have held on to Ona tightly. If he was not used to riding clouds, then anything could happen, because he was inexperienced. Another Reason why I think Michael B. fell through the cloud is maybe because he was too scared. I know that, because in the text, it said: Michael B. just shook his head, too afraid to talk. (Baum 6) That clearly means that he was so scared that he couldn’t even say a word.
