Explain Why Teenagers Should Be Considered As Adults At The Age Of Adulthood

Over the years teenagers have been considered as an adult at the age of 18 but why 18 when the brain fully develops at the age 25? In the article, “Brain Maturity” the author states that “Most of the privileges and responsibilities of adulthood are legally granted by the age of 18.” The definition of responsibility is when teens can be considered adults. When they’re considered adults they can have unlimited privileges and no curfew. Others definition of responsibility is when you’re trusted enough to go out and not have people watch out for you. Teenagers today are often criticized for speaking up or doing the things they’ve been doing since they’re not considered an “adult” but just because you’re 18 you shouldn't be considered as an adult. Considering someone a adult can either affect society either in a positive or negative way. In other words if a immature kid starts driving chances are that they’ll make a mistake and cause an accident, now say that if a responsible teen were to start driving he’d follow the rules of the road and actually drive well, which won't cause any disturbances on the road for others and it’s less likely that there will be an accident.
