‘‘He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life’’. In life you have to step outside of your comfort zone and do things that you aren’t willing to do. The novels Ender's game by Orson Scott Card and Extremely Loud Incredibly Close by Jonathan safran Foer display the quest pattern throughout the novel. Protagonist Ender and Oskar both stay courageous towards their adventures and always stay positive.

Ender has been having problems with his oldest brother and never seemed to get along with him. This was his chance to get away from him and live a beating free life. Peter was always mad at Ender because of the monitor. Ender held the monitor the longest time and was granted a chance to save the world. Ender knew he had to go because he knew he had no choice, ‘ Your son has been cleared by the IF Selective Service. Life has been crucial and the image he pictures everyday is just heartwarming of his father. Oskar is a person who like investigating into mysteries and he goes ahead and tries figuring out what caused the 911 attack. Ender started his journey, “There are so many different ways to die, and I just need to know which was his.” Oskar had to do whatever to find out the mystery and it took courage to skip school and other lessons to do what he was passionate for. Next Oskar is really traumatized and can not get over the fact of the death of his father. Oskar’s mother asked him if he was optimistic “Nothing is beautiful and true.” Oskar’s emotion have reached another level but he is a courageous kid that wants to find out the mystery of the Oskar faces a harsh time living with the fact that his dad passed away in the 9/11
