1. Four Functions of Management
Rental Management Incorporated uses the four functions of management in its operations. The main objective of an organization is to achieve its mission. In order for the organization to reach its max potential, it needs to include the foundation of the four functions of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. The understanding of the functions and how the organization uses them in its day-to-day process is important among the management team. Rental Management Incorporated, RMI, uses the four functions as a foundation to its success.
The management team is the team that works with the people and resources to accomplish the organizational goals set in the four functions of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. It is important to use each of them with one another to have the organization to function properly.
The first function of management is the planning function. An organization needs the planning process to develop the mission of the organization and the main objectives to take place. This function continues to expand upon the ideas of what the organization should entail and how it is to be established among the organization for success (Adam, 2009). The planning stage is the process of delivering strategic value from top-level management into the organization.
The strategic management, also known as top-level management, begins the function of organizing. This management team is able to organize the organization’s employees and resources (Bateman & Snell, 2009). According to Doctor McNamara, the management process is ability to get things accomplished through other people, so it is important to organize the organization appropriately (McNamara, 2012). Another determination that is made is the process for reporting procedures or problems within the organization. This is an important portion of an organization, so the team is able to function by using the necessary procedures to be more efficient. The organizing function is the ability to build a dynamic organization (Bateman & Snell, 2009).
The organizing function flows into the leading function because the responsibilities and authorities are distributed among the team. This function is present in each level of management because it is important to motivate the employees. The subordinates and management team want to believe they are an asset to the organization. In order for them to have this confidence, the organization shows them through stimulating high performance levels (Adam, 2009). The type of motivation may vary from organization to organization, but it is still an important aspect to reach success.
The last of the four functions of management is controlling. This process is deeper than just monitoring the organization and its work; it is the process of learning through evaluation and making the changes that are necessary. This is an important step in a successful organization because it needs to remain relevant, useful, and adaptable with the continuous changes that occur in the World. If the organization does not adapt to the necessary changes or current times, the organization is more apt to fail because it is failing to advance. As an organization reaches the end of the fourth function, it rotates back into the first initial function as long as the job is being efficient (Bateman & Snell, 2009).

2. Functions of Management
In every organization, every manager knows the importance of the four functions of management. Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling are the functions that managers use throughout their career daily. The larger corporations of management have the top-level, middle-level, and frontline managers use all the functions of management.
