FPW Bourgeois received a call from Biloxi PD officer Jan Fossen, Badge 272, on Saturday 9/23/17 at approx. 11:15pm. Officer Fossen stated that Biloxi PD was called by Carmond Langley, 11-year-old son, to report domestic violence between his parents, Chris Shows and Brittney Langley. When the officers arrived, it was noticed that Carmond had a black and red eye. Carmond stated that his step father, Chris Shows, had punched him in the eye and hit him in the eye with a pack of soft baby wipes. FPW Bourgeois stated she lives an hour away and will be there shortly. FPW Bourgeois arrived on the scene at 12:10am, and spoke directly with Officer Fossen. Carmond stated that he punched him in the eye while holding a pack of baby wipes. FPW Bourgeois asked Carmond if the violence happens often, and he replied yes. FPW Bourgeois asked if he receives any other forms of punishment, and he expressed that he is whipped with wires/switches on his buttock. Carmond stated that he receives the bad punishments, while he little sisters sometimes just get a spanking. FPW Bourgeois asked Carmond if he feels safe at home, and he replied he feels safe with his mother but not his stepfather. Carmond stated his mom is usually not home when this happens, and that his mom rarely spanks him. Carmond stated there is always violence and arguing in the home. She stated she never witnesses him hurt the children. FPW Bourgeois asked if she spanks the children, and she stated no. FPW Bourgeois asked if she works, and she replied that she works early morning and attend gaming school. FPW Bourgeois asked what school the children attended, and she replied that they are homeschooled. FPW Bourgeois asked when she has the time to teach the children, and she stated early morning before school. FPW Bourgeois expressed that she goes in to work at 6am, and asked if she taught the children prior to 6am. FPW Bourgeois asked if she was prescribed any medication, and she stated she was on several medications including Valium. During the conversation, Brittney was rolling a tobacco cigarette, and did not visually show an emotions or fear of the situation. FPW Bourgeois spoke with the on call supervisor, Kevin Allen, and it was decided that the children were to be kept home and followed up Monday since Chris was in jail. Officer Fossen stated that Chris Shows will be seen by the judge on Monday, and may be allowed to be out for bail. She stated to FPW and Brittney that Chris is not allowed in the
